Levels and Shields

Alright, now the game actually has multiple levels! I also implemented the spawn shield thing that Battle City has, which gives your tank (wizard) invulnerability for a few seconds when it spawns. As you’ll see, right now it just loops through the levels until you lose. The original Battle City game did this too, though it had a lot more levels.

Most of my time was actually spend thinking about and implementing a campaign editor so that you can insert the maps you make with the map editor into the game and then play each level in turn. For now, I’ve made a crude command line program that does this. Later, I’ll probably make a GUI for it with GTK or something. It will be a good opportunity to learn GTK properly. Hopefully I can make a high score table for the game on Tuesday.
